POP PUNK LABEL COMING SOON!

if you dont know me you know i LOVE pop punk i love New Found Glory, Fireworks, ect ect. since im going to be pretty much in doors for the entire fall/winter season working on new music i wanted to do something with my time that is perductive and helps newer artist get a name for them selves so i started Glee and Elation Records. this is my third time trying the label thing and i think this time will be a success. i think i have grown in the business area and the band developing department and with a lot for funding planned for this label i think we finally have a winning combination. hopefully this project gets off the ground and everyone loves what im looking to do. if not i'll still help newer artist get out, and hopefully they will go on to bigger better and more money profittable things. well more on that shortly anyway track of the week below.

ROC NATION vs INTERSCOPE

soo i got a very interesting debate about one Roc Nation being a better label (currently) than Interscope (my astranged label home). well that is very interesting because up until about a year ago i didnt know that Roc Nation was actually ever going to happen (much like young money), but now they manage a buncha people, they have Willow Smith and J Cole (and yes Jay Z) well they've started out well for themselves, however... to make a debate with no avtual gout behind it is almost like saying Madonna is greater than God. she's big/huge even and has staying power, but know one has made more money or a larger impact religious wise then God. so i say that Roc Nation is big now like beenie baby's or tomagachi, but Interscope is a mastermind of musical direction and will be for many generations to come. now if Roc Nation would like to manage me i'd happily consider the option, but label wisei think we made the right choice, even if i feel at times that i haven't.

FRIDAY TO DO LIST

I'm sooo pitiful on Friday's im the only rapper i know who never has anything to do, maybe its because i never have anyone to do them with...i know sobs and shit, but thats alright im a big boy. no suicide in my future....orrrrrrrrr, jk. so i have a to do list that makes me a bit like a British footy mom. i feel the urge to share:

first i wake up. brush my teeth, shave (if i have too i dont grow much facial hair), take a shower, pick out my cloths, get flexibly sexy with my bedroom mirror..., brush teeth again (hey sexies hard work), put on my cloths, and grab my cell phone and ultimately choose not to call/text anyone back.

then....i grab myself a bite to eat usually at Al's diner off 25th and Michigan Chicago,IL USA, but i live in California now so ihop or home works fine. i head off to school/work/or any other assortment of petty activity.

then....(we'll skip work or school) i write, and write, and write. until i realize there in nothing in my icebox...sucks.
i go to the store and buy 100 bucks worth of live providing buy product and go home and throw shit unceremoniously in cupboards and slots until im done with that task.

Friday night, TIME TO PARTY.......but not if your Dashon Love no you sit at home watching smackdown, fucking with pens and keys in an attempt to think of something better to do, but you think of nothing so you write and write and write until you get a random phone call from person a-z all saying come to this event or that function, you tell all of them you have plans (but you dont) and continue doing nothing gleefully.

finally falling asleep at 1am it's Saturday and you have officially realized that you have no social life, but hey you have half that new song done, and no hang over to deal with tomorrow. Christopher Marang's life is amazing!

WHAT IF WE DO THIS

im going on tour next year (I PROMISE) and im going to be doing it with such profession that everyone who sees me will be looking to do it again and again, basically though im looking to do me live and not hip hop, if you know what i mean. so im setting up these rules see.
1. no high heels. im sorry bitches but they are completely user unfriendly for my shows and it will only get you hurt.
2. rock show rules. i like stage dives and sing alongs there will be no sitting on your ass at my shows.
3. work it like the run way. my shows are both our times dont waste mine because i wont waste yours show me your energy.
4. ravers on your worst behavour. i have a nice amount of techno im my music so get naked if you want i will not tell.
5. partiers upfront, destroyers in the back. if you mosh (which i dont know why you would at my shows) do in the second half of the building be fair and respect eachother.

good morning all im currently watching/listening/loving the new Pierce The Veil album "Selfish Machine". Vic and Mike whatup hahah anyway theres a new video for the song "Caraphernelia" that i might post if i can find it when i get ready to post this in a few minutes.

did you know i was in bands all through out my high school years, well thats what im here today to talk to you about, i started a band (actually i wrote a ton of music for christopher marang and it was to heavy or to poppy for that so i made full songs out of them. hummm) well its call the legendary ocean bear. i might record some music might not i haven't put to much thought into it just yet.

also im writing so electro stuff with some friends on my free time as well, that will actually be released its called "your girlfriends best friends" nothing on when that will surface but it should be sooner than later. im going to be going to see Say Anything on Thursday in San Diego, CA at Soma so come and hang out wit yo boy! i might get to hang out with the Pierce the Vail guys. just talking now. well enjoy the vid.

SO AS MANY PEOPLE KNOW RECORD LABELS ARE THE SAY ALL BE ALL OF OUR INDUSTRY I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN THE PROCESS, YOU HAVE MAYBE? I DONT THINK THAT ITS BEEN FAIR TO TELL EVERYONE THAT THEY HAVEN'T MADE IT UNLESS THEY HAVE SIGNED TO A MAJOR LABEL DEAL, NOT TRUE YOU HAVE MADE IT WHEN MOTHERFUCKERS KNOW WHO YOU ARE, THERE IS NO REASON FOR MOST ARTIST TO SIGN TO A MAJOR, REALLY THE WAY THE INDUSTRY IS, THERE IS NO REASON TO SIGN TO A LABEL, IF YOU AREN'T FANCY THE INDUSTRY OF RECORDS HAS BEEN IN THE RED FOR CLOSE TO 5 YEARS NOW AND ITS A MARVEL THAT THE TERM MAJOR LABEL ISN'T AS DEAD A TOWER RECORDS. THE ONLY REASON LABELS ARE UP FLOT IS BECAUSE OF "DREAMERS" KIDS SINGERS SONGWRITERS WHO ARE DYING TO LET ISLAND OR ATLANTIC RELEASE THEIR WORK VIA ITUNES OR WHERE EVER THE FUCK, RADIO=DEAD, VIDEO=DEAD, ITS A NEW ERA AND THESE CHILDREN ARE DYING TO LIVE IN THE PAST, IF IT WASNT FOR THE FACT THAT I HAVE ALREADY SOLD MY SOUL I WOULD LEAD BY EXAPLE, BUT IT'S THE WAY IT GOES SOMETIME, LABELS DONT HELP DREAMER'S THEY HELP THEMSELVES AND IF THE DREAM GETS SOMETHING OUT OF IT...WELL OK THATS GOOD TOO I GUESS.
